About

Megan is a Psychotherapist who works with individuals presenting symptoms of anxiety, depression, attachment disorders, mood disorders, PTSD, relationship difficulties, grief and loss.

She uses evidence-based interventions such as cognitive behavioural therapy, mindfulness, solution-focused therapy, narrative and expressive arts therapy. She provides a person-centred approach and draws from trauma-informed, psychodynamic, somatic, and integrative frameworks that consider individuals in the context of their family of origin and broader systems. The initial session consists of a biopsychosocial-spiritual assessment to know the whole person, followed by a treatment plan. She uses evidence-based interventions that are the most appropriate based on symptomology and clients' strengths. Megan welcomes people from culturally diverse backgrounds, all gender identities, sexual orientations, and belief systems.

Megan completed a Master's in Clinical Social Work from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor's in Interdisciplinary and Cultural Studies with an emphasis in psychology and social sciences from the University of Washington. In addition to psychotherapy, Megan is a trained photographer, filmmaker, and haiku poet with additional certifications in coaching, meditation, breathwork, and reiki. In her free time, she loves to explore Jung's theory of the collective unconscious through the existence of archetypes in stories, art and myth.

Megan regularly builds upon her training through continuing education courses, mentorship, and social advocacy. Megan is a member of the Australia Association of Social Workers. AASW Member Number: MEM 23/00646.
